hi lovlies! i wanted to put together a few of my favorite design books for making a small space beautiful, functional and happy. while i'm a bit of a bibliophile, i tried to narrow it down to four of the books that i turn to time and again and have found to be infinitely helpful when working in tight quarters.
the first book on my list is living in a nutshell. it's full of creative, diy solutions and showcases some truly tiny homes that are big on personality.
the second book on my list is of course from apartment therapy, one of my favorite blogs. their big book of small cool spaces is just that--instant inspiration and (my favorite) a glimpse into the lives and homes of real people. some of the spaces are more obviously styled, although many of them have a more lived in vibe that i find truly appealing.
ok, so the third book on my list is a bit of a cheat, as it isn't specifically about tiny spaces. however, it is a great go-to for a whole array of design conundrums and i can't imagine any home library being complete without it.
the fourth is a classic read and the traditionalist in me likes this book from better homes and gardens on small space decorating. while it's not exactly high brow, it is indeed a practical guide for making the most of a small space and offers some helpful examples, as well as measurements, along the way. worth checking out.
so there you have it--my four favorites for small space design! what did i miss? any great books i should be adding to my shelves soon?
