When we received a select invitation to pitch a concept for repositioning one of San Diego's iconic yet unseen buildings, we jumped at the opportunity. The project brief was to create a fresh new identity and design for a tired 1970s office building that boasted some great bones but was in need of (more than a) little love. The playground team developed a new name and brand identity for the property to capture the spirit of a new way of working. The design concept proposed focused on a human-centric, hospitality-driven approach to the space, incorporating a restaurant, coffee shop, bike rental and natural elements to shape a vibrant, community-focused space that encourages interaction and chance encounters.
